Zurich Maid Insurance Malaysia Policy
This Zurich maid insurance is Zurich’s Domestic Maid Insurance Scheme. It is a personal accident policy for domestic helpers in Malaysia, underwritten by Zurich General Insurance Malaysia Berhad. It covers accidental death and disablement, medical expenses and hospital admission due to accident, repatriation, and liability to third parties.

The prices include 8% service tax.
Who Can Be Covered
- Domestic helpers aged 16 to 65 (age at next birthday).
- The helper must be legally employed by the policyholder.
- The helper must be a Malaysian, or a foreigner with a valid work permit or permanent resident status in Malaysia.
Main Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions; riding a motorcycle, scooter or moped (as rider or passenger); pregnancy, childbirth and miscarriage (unless caused by an accident); epidemic or pandemic; suicide or self-injury; provoked murder or assault; intoxication by alcohol or drugs; criminal acts; professional and dangerous sports, and racing other than on foot; war, terrorism, radiation and nuclear risks; HIV or AIDS. The benefits payable under eligible products are protected by PIDM up to limits (www.pidm.gov.my).

The following documents will be required with the filled and signed application form:
- A photocopy of the maid’s passport with a valid Malaysian work permit.
- A photocopy of the employer’s NRIC (Malaysian) or Passport (Non-Malaysian)
