And includes disability coverage as listed below. This plan is meant for individuals as well as businesses’ Keyman insurance. A-Life Protect Term Life insurance plan is one of AIA’s life insurance product in Malaysia.
AIA A-Life Protect Term Life Sum Assured
The sum assured is listed per the plans in the product plans selection above. The maximum sum assured is subject to underwriting approvals. Select the sum assured required, and send in the order. Qualification for AIA Term Life Insurance Plan
Occupational Class Coverage
This AIA Malaysia term life insurance plan covers occupational classes 1 to 4.
Entry Age
Entry age between 16 to 60 years old.
AIA A-Life Protect Term Life Insurance Disability Coverage
The two types of disability covered in the plans listed on this page are:
Presumptive Disability
“Presumptive Disability” means the occurrence of any of the following:
- Total and irrecoverable loss of sight of BOTH eyes or
- Severance of TWO (2) limbs at or above wrist or ankle or
- Total and irrecoverable loss of sight of ONE (1) eye and loss by severance of ONE (1) limb at or above the wrist or ankle.
Total and Permanent Disability
“Total and Permanent Disability” or “Disability” means:
- Complete and continuous inability of the Insured due to injury or sickness, and
- Is unable to ever again perform or engage in any gainful work, occupation or business, for which
- He or she is reasonably qualified or fitted by knowledge, training or experience.
Exclusions
These disability coverage excludes:
- Willful exposure to danger or attempted self-destruction or self-inflicted injuries while sane or insane;
- Service in the armed forces in time of declared or undeclared war or while under orders for warlike operations or restoration of public order
- Entering, exiting, operating, servicing, or being transported by any aerial device or conveyance except when the Insured is a fare-paying passenger or crew member on a commercial passenger airline on a regular scheduled passenger trip over its established passenger route; or
- Any congenital defect which has manifested or was diagnosed before the Insured attains seventeen (17) years of age.
Term Life Insurance with Guaranteed Renewal
This yearly renewable term life insurance plan from AIA Insurance, provides coverage which expires on yearly basis. It has the option to renew upon expiry. The renewal is guaranteed without further evidence of insurability. The premium is calculated based on the insured’s attained age at renewal. The last renewal age is 64 years old.
Keyman Insurance Tax Deduction
This term life insurance plan is very suitable for businesses for Keyman insurance. This term life insurance plan is tax deductible in Malaysia for the insurance premiums paid.
This is very suitable for businesses in Malaysia, that depend on a key individuals to bring in the business results. In the event of these key individuals death or disability, the business gets cashflow coverage from the insurance sum assured coverage.
Do note that this sum assured payout from term life insurance, can be taxed as income in Malaysia.
