AIA Panel Hospitals and How to Get Admitted Into the Hospital

AIA Panel Hospitals require an AIA Insurance Letter of Guarantee (LOG) or Guarantee Letter (GL) for admission. Some panel hospitals will require a RM600 deposit or so for registration and admission, even if you have a LOG. However, AIA Platinum Hospitals usually do not ask for a deposit.

AIA Panel Hospitals and Clinics provide this value-added service called an insurance Letter of Guarantee (LOG) or Guarantee Letter (GL) facility. When you see the doctor at the hospital, and if the doctor feels you need to be admitted, the doctor will note down your insurance company name. Then the hospital administration will put in the request for the LOG from AIA.

AIA Medical Card Panel Hospitals

Some of the panel hospitals and clinics require a deposit upon admission even when the insurance letter of guarantee has been issued.  This is to pay for expenses that are not covered by the letter of guarantee and the final payable amount will be determined upon discharge.

In the event of members obtaining medical treatment from a non-panel hospital, the claims will be processed on a reimbursement basis, subject to the benefits covered under their policy.  This means that the letter of guarantee will not be issued and the member must pay for the treatment sought and submit their expenses to Red Cover for claim processing.  This listing is subject to change.  Refer to our administrator for the updated identification of panel hospitals.

For each year, there is a limit on how much you can claim, and there is no cover on how much you can claim in a lifetime.  Your medical card will ensure easy admission to our panel of hospitals and clinics.  All approved hospitalization and surgical expenses, within the annual limit of your plan, will be settled by our insurance upon discharge.
