What is the Insurance Coverage for New-born Babies?

- Child care benefit if the baby is admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or High Dependency Unit (HDU) at Rm300 per day or RM600 per day.
- Incubation of new born babies at RM150 per day or RM300 per day, depending on the plan selected.
- New born jaundice requiring phototherapy treatment. ( a common scenario) at RM 500 or RM 1,000 per claim.
*For jaundice level indicated ( within the first 60 days form the birth of the child – requiring hospitalization with total serum bilirubin levels of > 250 µ mol/L. [micromol/litre)), it is claimable.
BabyCare policy will cost RM250 to RM300 per month. There is option to add on RM50,000 sum insured critical illness and RM100,000 sum insured Junior Critical Illness.
This insurance plan also covers Congenital Birth Defects.
BabyCare Plan Entry and Coverage Period
It is best to start to insure your baby in the womb as early as 14 weeks. The medical checkup will be waived if you have the A-Life Lady360 plan and the start week can be even earlier than 14 weeks.
This plan covers your child until 5 years old. After which, the A-Life Joy 2 plan continues to cover your child.

This is an investment linked medical insurance plan for newly born baby girls. The price shown is the starting monthly premium price.
- Medical coverage RM1.5 million, refreshed and renewed annually
- Life coverage RM50,000
- Entry Age, start from 14 days to 2 years old
- Not applicable for premature birth babies
- Document required is the Baby MyKid Card or Birth Certificate

What are the terms and conditions for AIA Baby Insurance BabyCare Coverage?
This insurance for baby Malaysia plans is by AIA Insurance Malaysia for Malaysians. It is a rider, an add on plan to the A-Life Joy plan, an all in one total children insurance plan.
Pregnant woman aged between 18 and 45 years old are eligible to buy this insurance for baby care plan as part of the A-Life Joy plan. There are two plans, Plan 1, and Plan 2 for this AIA baby insurance.
Woman with the AIA A-Life Lady360 plan get additional exemptions and benefits for thisAIA A-Plus BabyCare plan such as additional cash payout range from RM1500 to RM9000 after baby born.
