Prudential PRU@Work
PRU@Work is a group insurance plan with a yearly renewable term. There are 6 plans that the employer can choose with a different total of sum assured.

Prudential PRU@Work Benefits
The Basic Benefit
Prudential Group Term Life (GTL)
This GTL group insurance plan provides a lump sum benefit to the insured member in the event of Total and Permanent Disability.
The Optional Benefit
1. Group Crisis Cover Benefit (GCCB)
This optional group insurance allows the insured member diagnosed with any of the covered Prudential 43 Critical Illnesses to receive a lump sum benefit. The amount paid for this lump sum benefit will reduce the basic benefit payout.
2. Group Partial and Permanent Disability Benefit (GPPD)
This optional benefit provides a lump sum amount in line with the Schedule of Indemnities in the event of any bodily injury that happened to the insured member.
3. Group Accidental Death and Disablement Benefit (GADD)
This GADD optional benefit provides a lump sum amount in line with the Schedule of Indemnities. In the event of the insured member dies or sustains bodily injury due to an accident.
4. Group Accidental Medical Reimbursement Benefit (GAMR)
This GAMR optional benefit provides medical expenses reimbursement incurred for any treatment, hospital charges, and nursing fees. This is up to the amount of the benefit for the selected plan for each accident.
5. Group Weekly Indemnity Benefit (GWI)
This GWI optional benefit provides a weekly benefit pay during the disability period that happened due to an accident resulting in Temporary Total Disablement.
6. Group Hospital and Surgical Benefit (GHS)
This GHS optional benefit gives you the choice of 7 comprehensive healthcare protection plans to ensure the complete health protection of your employees. This GHS coverage also can be extended to the spouses and children of your employees.
Prudential PRU@Work Waiting Period
The waiting period for Prudential PRU@Work is different depending on the reason for the hospital admission.
- For Pre-Existing conditions, the coverage begins 12 months after the effective date of the original coverage or reinstatement of coverage, whichever is later.
- For Specified illnesses, the coverage begins 120 days.
- For other illnesses, the coverage begins 30 days.
For the acceptance for hospitalization due to an accident, the coverage for Prudential PRU@Work begins immediately.
Frequently Asked Questions about Prudential PRU@Work
This Prudential PRU@Work group insurance plan is applicable for all employees, directors, partners, and proprietors that are engaged in; any full-time occupation, or work for remuneration or profit under a contract of employment. And all benefits are applicable for Occupational Class 1 to 4.
Companies with at least 5 and up to 200 employees are open to apply for Prudential PRU@Work.
The total annual premium that needs to pay will depend on:
1. Plans and optional benefits chosen
2. Number of employees
3. Age of the employees
4. Additional premium due to the nature of business or underwriting
The insurance coverage shall commence provided that the relevant conditions have been met and the insurance provider has approved the application. A pro-rated premium will be charged to the new employee.
When an employee resigns during the policy term, the pro-rated premium will be refunded.
Upgrading of the plan is only allowed on the policy anniversary, and must be consistently applied in accordance with the employment category. For employees that are promoted to a higher employment category, the effective date of the upgraded plan shall follow the date that we are notified.
